Chicken Paprikash with Polenta (Traditional Transylvanian Dish)

Chicken (any parts)

Garlic (2 cloves, chopped)
-
All-purpose flour (65 g / 2.3 oz)
-
Cornmeal (125 g / 4.4 oz)
- Onion
- Red sweet bell pepper
Stew:
-
Brown the chicken
- Remove and add 1 medium onion + 1 red sweet bell pepper (both chopped)
- Coll until soften
- Add the chicken and simmer for 10 minutes
- Cover with warm water
- Simmer for ~40 mins or until cooked
- Gradually mix 180 ml (6 fl oz) cold water with 65 g (2.3 oz) all-purpose flour
- Remove the chicken and add the mix
- Simmer for 10 minutes, set asite
Polenta:
- Bring to a boil 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) water
- Pinch of salt
- When it boils, add 125 g (4.4 oz) cornmeal (polenta), cover and simmer for 10 minutes
- Stir occasionally
